Genome Data Systems, Inc.
(GDS) is a New Jersey based biotechnology company with a focus on utilizing
its proprietary technologies to develop, manufacture and commercialize DNA and protein
microarray products, and innovative microfluidics systems for the genomics,
proteomics and drug discovery markets. GDS technologies promise to revolutionize
drug discovery research by reducing the cost and increasing the throughput
of commonly used assays.
Current projects include a cell-based assay system (GeneCard)
for submicroliter analysis, and protein interaction analysis technology (LFIA).
Funding for these projects has been provided by DARPA (Defense Advanced Research
Projects Agency), NIH (National Institutes of Health), NJCST (New Jersey Commission on Science & Technology) and DOE (Department of Energy). GDS has begun putting together a catalog of monoclonal antibodies for use in R&D. Several products are currently available to researchers.
